NaruSaku or Bust!!!

Hey watchers! So, I haven't written a Journal entry in....forever, so I thought I'd post my thoughts. And right now, my thoughts have been seriously NaruSaku driven. (haha) Anyhow, there was a picture of Naruto with Hinata and Sakura in the foreground, and the artist asked "Hinata or Sakura -who will Naruto choose?" to which I just HAD to respond. So this is what I posted. I was quite proud of it, actually.

"NaruSaku of course!! There are so many reasons it will be Sakura that it makes me laugh when people think it will be Hinata. One of the biggest reasons that it will be Sakura is because of the parallels that Kishimoto loves to put in his manga. There is the very obvious parallel of MinaKushi and NaruSaku. Naruto is very similar to his father, and Kushina is very similar to Sakura. And then of course, there is the parallel of the three Sanin and Team 7. However, Team 7 will do what the Sanin were not able to do, or in other words, not make the same mistakes. Sasuke will not die evil (unlike his sensei, Orochimaru), Naruto will realize and accept his fate to become the Hokage (unlike his sensei, Jiraiya), and Sakura will realize her love for Naruto before it is too late (unlike her sensei, Tsunade). (Also, if you are of the camp that since they are a parallel of the Sanin, then they will follow exactly in the Sanin's footsteps, then none of the ships will happen -NaruHina least of all.) And THEN of course, there is the parallel between Kishimoto and his very own wife! Kishimoto has often stated that Naruto is based off of himself, with similar quirks and personality and such. And Kishimoto has also stated [or maybe he hasn't, but his friend Oda, the mangaka of One Piece, has noted] that Sakura is based off of his WIFE. He has often asked his wife to make sure that he wrote Sakura orrectly and the like. [Actually, upon further inspection, it was Kushina that he was referring to, but same thing right? ] Now if THAT doesn't say something about what Kishimoto intends to do with his story, I'm not sure what does.

Naruto would do anything for Sakura. And Sakura for him. Their bond is so deep, one can only say that what they feel for one another is love. For Naruto to suddenly lose all interest in Sakura and suddenly realize that there's this girl named Hinata who's had a crush on him and told him once but he did NOTHING about it, it is completely implausible, especially given the fact that Kishimoto has stated that Naruto is nearing it's end. The same is not true for Sakura and her "love" for Sasuke. She has had so much interaction and association with Naruto, especially in the post time skip/Shippuden part of the story, it would not be a strange or forced thing for her to fall for Naruto. There's enough dynamic there to support that change.

And we must not forget what genre this story is: Shonen. The point of Naruto is NOT falling in love, but rather the strengthening of friendships and bonds. And the strongest and most important bonds in this story are those shared by the three main characters: Naruto, Sakura, and Sasuke. Those are the relationships that matter the absolute most to this story, so for some outside bond (NaruHina) to suddenly overtake the main character would be completely ridiculous.

Anyhow, just wanted to share those thoughts! Also, if anyone else wants to post some of their "proofs" of why NaruSaku is going to happen, please do! I'd love to build an arsenal of Pro-NaruSaku documentation!!!
